Tangerine signs Brookside Foods Ltd.

December 13, 2010 - Tangerine Software is pleased to announce the signing of Brookside Foods to a Sage ERP X3 software license agreement for 30 users. The deal also includes Sage's integrated X3 data collection software and Tangerine's Business Intelligence software solution, Nectari BI.

Brookside Foods, headquartered in Abbotsford, British Columbia ( www.brooksidefoods.com ), manufactures the perfect pairings of premium chocolate covered fruits and nuts, produced in Abbotsford and St. Hyacinthe, Quebec.

Brookside engaged a big-four consulting firm in June to evaluate its business processes and software systems, which resulted in a business case recommendation for Brookside to acquire a new ERP solution. Brookside went to market with a Request for Information (RFI) document in September and after being shortlisted down to two, Tangerine and its competitor provided detailed presentations of its solutions to Brookside's selection teams in Abbotsford and St. Hyacinthe during the last two weeks of October.

The X3 features are well suited to Brookside's process manufacturing and distribution business processes. Another very important reason for our decision was that Tangerine Software is well positioned to service and support both of our locations, including our French speaking operations in St. Hyacinthe. We're now looking forward to starting the implementation of Sage ERP X3 and to realizing the many benefits that the solution will provide our Canadian operations."

The signing of Brookside Foods further cements the foothold that the Sage ERP X3 solution has in the food industry. The implementation of Sage ERP X3 will begin in January with the Go-Live date scheduled for the fall of 2011.
